Pen-y-ffordd Area Community Association is a voluntary group who were formed several years ago to raise funds to supplement the council budgets and provide additional amenities and facilities for the villages of Pen-y-ffordd, Penymynydd and Dobshill.

The aim is to bring all voluntary organisations together and work as one to raise a central fund to benefit all in the community.

The first project that the group embarked on was raising funds for a Multi Use Games Area for the playing fields. This was achieved in 2008 where over £50,000 was raised for the facility that is proving to be a great success for all who use it. The next project is a community garden area next to the playing fields and work on this is currently underway.

The group has many more aspirations for the ward but can only achieve these with the support of the community. People from all ages and interest are welcome to get involved, and further information can be obtained from Cindy Hines on ????????, or Steve Johnson on ?????????.
